‘Peards Premium Potting Mix’ is a high-quality potting medium that contains a wetting agent, base fertiliser and slow-release fertiliser, meaning the potting mix is slower to dry out during warmer weather and your plants will be well fed for 12 months after potting. This premium potting mix is a well calculated blend of pine bark fines and organic matter making it highly suitable for camellias, azaleas and all other exotic plants. It is also recommended for growing herbs and flower seedlings in pots.

‘Peards All Purpose Potting Mix’ is another high-quality potting medium suitable for use when potting exotic plants. It contains similar drainage properties and a base fertiliser but, it does not have any slow-release fertiliser, therefore, for best results we recommend using it in conjunction with other plant-specific fertilisers during the growing season.

Peards Planting Mix is a top-quality mix that is our medium of choice for use when potting native plants. It is most suitable for all phosphorous sensitive plants as it does not contain any fertiliser but instead consists of a blend of composted pine bark fines and manures that provide nutrients, aeration and drainage properties essential for healthy plant and root growth.

Another key ingredient in Peards Planting Mix is gypsum. This makes it a must for use when planting larger trees and shrubs into clay soils. Peards Planting Mix helps to improve the soil structure in the root zone and gives plants quality soil for the best chance for success.

Seed Raising Mix is available in a large and small sized bag. This quality Yates product has a high sand content, which makes it the most effective medium for use when germinating seeds.

Sugar Cane Mulch is available in bales. It is a by-product of the Australian sugar industry and is fantastic for mulching gardens to reduce weeds and water loss during the warmer months. Not only does sugar cane mulch smell great, it looks amazing on your garden too.

Lucerne Mulch does the same job as sugar cane, but it has the added bonus of providing soil with nitrogen and potassium, both nutrients that are essential for plant health. It is highly recommended for mulching roses and for nutrient depleted soils because it reduces the need for fertilisers.
