Flowers are important in the garden as they bring in bees and help support insects and animals, all of which are crucial when it comes to plant pollination and diversity. With the exception of conifers, all plants in the nursery flower, although some flowers are more decorative than others.
Native flowers you will see in the nursery currently include kangaroo paws, brachyscome and grevilleas. Exotic plants in flower at the moments include but are not limited to azaleas, camellias and rhododendrons, and the tough leucodendrons, leucospermums and proteas. Assorted perennial daisies are also in flower now with Cape daisies (osteospermums), argyranthemums and some asters looking stunning. Clematis and mandevilla are two of the species of climbing plants in flower, soon to be followed by the much loved, vigorous wisteria.
